Chinese Style Baked Turkey Wings
6 Turkey wings mid section and drummettes
2 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/3 teaspoon five-spice powder
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
2 clove garlic, peeled and chopped
1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 teaspoon soy sauce
1. Rinse the turkey wings with cold water, separate leg and wing. Personally I discard the flap since its nothing more that fat. and pat dry with paper towels. Set aside.
2. Get a big bowl, marinate the turkey wings with all the ingredients. Mix to make sure the wings are nicely coated with the seasonings.
3. Cover up the bowl and put in the fridge overnight.
4. Place wings in a pan over a rack. I use an air cake rack. Bake the wings until they turn golden brown and nicely cooked you need to occassionally brush the wings and turn over so they do not dry out. Serve immediately.
When baking brush a little bit of oil on the surface.
You might also brush a little bit honey water (mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 3 tablespoons of water) on the wings while baking.
Can add: Nutmeg or Cinnamon
